we have an announcement . . .

We went in for our ultrasound today expecting to find out the sex of our baby. Lo and behold, there were two little ones kicking around in there! After the inital shock (and emotions) wore off, we looked closely and saw that they were both healthy little boys. I guess we are going to have twins. Crazy. Aaaaaaah!

p.s. The picture is of their heads. We couldn't get a decent one of both of their bodies. They were too squirmy.

summer dinner

There's nothing like coming home, picking a few things from the garden and throwing them together with things from the pantry. This started off as shrimp fra diavolo and was quickly sidetracked by collard greens and onions from the garden. Spicy, salty, and yummy!

mommy dearest

This weekend, I was lucky enough to have my amazing mother come for a quick visit. Mom is one of the most beautiful, intelligent, and talented women I know, and I wish she could have stayed longer.

We did make sure she got the royal treatment, complete with a night at the cabin, lunch at the farmer's market, dinner at Pizzeria 712, and gelato and drinking chocolate at Maestro's.

perfect spring day

I can't believe May has flown by so quickly. We would like to apologize for the lack of posts this month. I would make excuses, but there really aren't any good enough.

We took a trip to the amazing Provo farmer's market last Saturday. We came hungry but satisfied our bellies with fresh cinnamon sugar doughnuts, chips and salsa, and minty spring rolls with peanut sauce. It was delicious. I also picked up a few more plants for the garden, including sweet cherry peppers. The garden keeps getting better and better.

I also made some mini rhubarb crisps with fresh rhubarb from the market. I love that I can bake with the windows open all day during this time of year!
